Delahaye 145 V12/175S Chassis # 48775

DELAHAYE 145V12/175S - Chassis # 48775

Last one built this Delahaye 145 had a different body style than the three other 145. In 1938 it was raced three times with mixed results:
                             Pau GP #4 - 3rd place
                             Cork GP #12 - DNF
                             Swiss GP #18 - 8th place
In 1939 it also raced three time:
                             ACF GP #30 - 7th
                             German GP #30 - 4th
                             Comminges GP #12 - DNS

After the war it was raced in 1946 in the St Cloud GP With the # 7 but DNF.
It was rebodied in 1949 by Valtat and equipped with a 175 (6cyl) engine. Being transformed as a 175S it received a new chassis number. In 1949 it raced in four races:
                            24 H of Le Mans #4 - DNF
ACF GP at Comminges #18 - Winner
                            Coupe du salon #8 - 3rd
For 1950 it raced only twice:
                            24 H of Le Mans #8 - DSQ
                            Rouen GP #4 - 2nd

After that the car was sold, stored and changed hands a few time and in 1967 was restored to its 145 V12 form but with a body copied from the Targa Florio version very different from its original one.
It is now in the Mullin collection in Los Angeles. But there is speculation that this car could be 48771 the winner of the "Grand Prix Du Million".
