DELAHAYE 145V12/175S - Chassis # 48775
Last one built this Delahaye 145 had a different body style than the three other 145. In 1938 it was raced three times with mixed results:
Pau GP #4 - 3rd place
Cork GP #12 - DNF
Swiss GP #18 - 8th place
In 1939 it also raced three time:
ACF GP #30 - 7th
German GP #30 - 4th
Comminges GP #12 - DNS
After the war it was raced in 1946 in the St Cloud GP With the # 7 but DNF.
It was rebodied in 1949 by Valtat and equipped with a 175 (6cyl) engine. Being transformed as a 175S it received a new chassis number. In 1949 it raced in four races:
24 H of Le Mans #4 - DNF
ACF GP at Comminges #18 - Winner
Coupe du salon #8 - 3rd
For 1950 it raced only twice:
24 H of Le Mans #8 - DSQ
Rouen GP #4 - 2nd
After that the car was sold, stored and changed hands a few time and in 1967 was restored to its 145 V12 form but with a body copied from the Targa Florio version very different from its original one.
It is now in the Mullin collection in Los Angeles. But there is speculation that this car could be 48771 the winner of the "Grand Prix Du Million".
